Joy To The World The Lord Has Come!!

On Sunday, December 16th, 2007 Calvary Chapel hosted its first Mariner's Harbor Christmas Tree Lighting.

During a time when it is "politically incorrect" to have Christ in Christmas, many gathered at Calvary Chapel to say Jesus is the reason for the season.  Over 300 residents of the Mariners Harbor area gathered together to sing Christmas carols, eat, drink refreshments,  and listen to Pastor Dave proclaim the miracle of Christmas.

There was not one empty seat and as you view the pictures you will see that everyone had a wonderful time celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

May you be fully blessed this Christmas season knowing that Jesus was, is and always will be the reason for the season.

Merry Christmas!

Everyone anxiously awaits the lighting of the tree

Luke 2:11

For today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

Worship team members young and younger praise in song.

Many attendees won door prizes which were donated by local business.

Women of Influence Become Women of Creativity

For the month of December, the Women of Influence gathered together and put their creativity to work. In preparation for the first annual Mariner's Harbor Christmas tree lighting the ladies decorated ornaments which spread the message "Keep Christ in Christmas".

Mother's and daughter's worked side by side

Some women saved their energy to look pretty.

Amazed at what has been done, Sharon takes a picture of one of the ornaments.

We, the women, young ladies and little girls wish you all a blessed Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year!!

Women's Retreat - September 2007 in PA

On a Friday afternoon in September the ladies of Calvary Chapel embarked on their weekend retreat in PA. It was an amazing time of fellowship as they studied scripture together and taught each other God's word through drama. Overall it was a good time had by all. A time to reflect in His word while enjoying the beautiful nature surrounding. A time to enjoy each other, laugh and cry together. A time to test their physical abilities through wall and vertical climbing (don't ask). A time to use a lot of Bengay!

A time to REFLECT in the Lord RELAX in nature and REJOICE with each other - what could be better?
