We made it!!

Thanks to our Lord and Savior, we made it safely to New Orleans. We are well situated in our sleeping quarters and ready to begin our work to share the good news. Thank you all for your prayers and we ask that you will continue to pray for the following specific things:

1) Team member health (very hot over here)
2) Opportunity to share the gospel
3) Continued unity and team spirit
4) Strength
5) Ability to complete the task that is ahead of us.

We made it!!

Upon our arrival to New Orleans we were greeted by Mandy who drove us to Trinity Church located in Covington, N.O.
Trinity Church is the place where our team would be situated during our week's stay.

We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
Romans 6:2-4

Congratulations to all who have chosen this day, June 24th, 2007 to rise in a new life.

On June 23rd, 2007 the youth of SoulFire went to Great Adventures for their yearly Christian Youth Explosion. This year's guest was Michael W. Smith. It was a great time had by all as each teen tested their bravado by riding some fearsome roller coasters such as El Toro, Madusa and Kingda Ka.

Most importantly was the message to all the youth asking them to be different and focused on the Lord. There was prayer for the youth and the youth ministry leaders.
