2nd Annual Mariners Harbor Christmas Tree Lighting

"New York City Christmas" was this year's theme for the 2nd Annual Mariners Harbor Christmas tree lighting event. Many people from the neighborhood gathered together on a very cold day to sing traditional Christmas songs, cheer the children from the local public school who sang and danced and see the tree get lit. After the tree lighting everyone gathered together indoors where it was nice and warm. Pastor Dave shared the Christmas story and the worship team, young and old worshiped in song. It was an awesome evening for all.

Children had a wonderful time having their face painted and partcipating in crafts.

Oh the weather outside was frightful.....

....but Calvary Chapel's worship team praised on.

Thanks to our media ministry team, some people were able to stay inside where it was nice and warm to see the tree lighting.

Three, Two, One.......... Merry Christmas!!!!

Dr. David Kim of the Beacon Community Christian Center pulls down the lever to light up the
Christmas tree.
Although it was frigid people of all ages were excited to see the tree lighting at Calvary Chapel
Pastor Dave shares the amazing story of Christmas and invites everyone to accept the greatest gift of all.

And the winner is.....

How exciting to win a prize!!!

But the biggest prize on Christmas is the birth of our savior - Jesus Christ - and the best news is we can all be winners if we just believe and accept.

Apple Picking at Warwick, New York

Saturday, October 18th was a fun filled day at Warwick, New York as Calvary Chapel's CrossFire and SoulFire went apple picking. Afterwards they all came back to the church and made apple pies to sell the next day. All proceeds went towards the youth ministry for future events and missions work. Thanks to all those who purchased a pie and supported the ministry.

Time for a little R & R!
"Here, take a bite."

Sisters & Friends
Heart
to Heart

That was the theme to the Women of Influence 2008 Retreat held at the
Fellowship Deaconry.

It was a wonderful time of fellowship with other ladies where we had the opportunity to become little girls again as we played jump rope, double dutch, tennis, miniature golf and even rolling down a hill of grass.

The evening was capped of with a wonderful one person dramatization.

Looking forward to 2009's retreat!!

Wow, I feel dizzy!
